Vascular Medicine

  • Early detection of vascular diseases through comprehensive diagnostics (color-coded duplex sonography of all vessels) and recommendations for preventive and follow-up measures. Additionally, we specialize in:

Arterial Diseases:

  • Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD) of the pelvic and leg arteries
  • Narrowing of the carotid artery (Arteria carotis)
  • Aneurysms (dilations)
  • Embolisms (clot formations with displacement to smaller vessels)
  • Vascular malformations and inflammatory vascular diseases

Venous Diseases:

  • Varicose veins (varicosis) caused by weakness of the superficial venous system in various forms
  • Chronic venous insufficiency due to deep venous system weakness
  • Venous thrombosis, which may result in post-thrombotic syndrome, leg ulcers (ulcus cruris), or pulmonary embolism
  • Treatment of critical soft tissue infections and problematic wounds
  • Superficial vein inflammation (thrombophlebitis)

Functional Circulatory Disorders:

  • Resulting from improper regulation of the vascular system by nerves without structural vascular damage
