If you are covered by valid Austrian social insurance that covers the social insurance contribution currently applicable in Austria, this contribution will be settled directly with the relevant social insurance provider. The patient is responsible for paying the consultation fees and clinical charges.

EU citizens who present an EHIC card upon admission to the private clinic: In this case, we settle the social security contribution directly with the Austrian clearing house. The patient is responsible for paying the fees and clinical charges.

How do I register for a stay at the Ritzensee Private Clinic?

First, you make an appointment with the specialist of your choice for a consultation. Information regarding your stay will be provided by your chosen doctor. She or he will prepare the relevant referral for inpatient treatment.

Of course, your family doctor can also contact the specialists at Privatklinik Ritzensee and arrange for you to be referred for inpatient treatment. Once you have decided on the doctor you trust to treat you, he or she will arrange and coordinate the date and time when you will be admitted to inpatient care at Ritzensee Private Hospital, depending on your illness. An appointment for a planned procedure, an operation, an endoscopy, an eye operation, etc., will be fixed.

Important for private patients with supplementary insurance: before admission to hospital, you must obtain a statement of coverage from your supplementary insurance provider.
