Vascular Medicine
Early detection of vascular diseases through comprehensive diagnostics (colour-coded duplex ultrasound of all blood vessels) and recommendations on preventive and follow-up care. We also specialise in:

Arterial diseases

  • Narrowing of the carotid artery (Arteria carotis)
  • Aneurysms (dilations)
  • Embolisms (the formation of blood clots that are carried into smaller blood vessels)
  • Vascular malformations and inflammatory vascular diseases

Vein disorders

  • Varicose veins (varicosis) as a weakness of the superficial venous system, presenting in various forms
  • Chronic venous insufficiency as a weakness of the deep venous system
  • Venous thrombosis, which may lead to post-thrombotic syndrome, a leg ulcer or a pulmonary embolism
  • Treatment of critical soft-tissue infections and difficult-to-heal wounds
  • Superficial phlebitis (thrombophlebitis)

Functional circulatory disorders
are the result of faulty nervous control of the vascular system, without any structural damage to the blood vessels.
